What:
|
|
|
About 150 volunteers from CSX Corporation and City Year will
mulch; refurbish the wooden staircase and border; replace swings
and the baseball backstop, and clear brush throughout the entire
property. They will paint the gymnasium bleachers, graphics on the
blacktop and several murals throughout the building; and they will
build mural benches, cubbies and bookshelves. This event will mark
the fourth Atlanta CSX and City Year service day in four years.
For more information on these events, go to http://www.beyondourrails.org/map.
The service day comes in the middle of a three-day, large scale
Public Safety and Environment conference that provides training
for 150 CSX Public Safety and Environment workers and contractors
to support best safety practices, ethical conduct and teamwork.
